About El Caracol
Doña Lydia purchased El Caracol in the year 2000. She has, since, been adding her special seasoning touch to the ethnic food she offers to a myriad of loyal followers.
Doña Lydia's food is tasty, which is not surprising, given that even in El Salvador, she owned her own cafeteria for many years before heading north to Mexico, the United States, and finally Canada.
During her years in Mexico, she learned Mexican cooking. And she learned well. Anyone who's tried her homemade salsas, spicy sauces, tacos, and burritos can atest that the food is authentic.
More recently, besides El Caracol, Doña Lydia started a new business—El Caracolito. Two doors down from El Caracol, the new restaurant offers food exclusively Mexican. Latin Americans and people from other cultures are all equally enjoying the opportunity to have real Mexican style tacos at El Caracolito.
